In a recent announcement, Former Chelsea coach Avram Grant has officially become the new captain of the Zambia team. After signing the two-year contract, Grant expressed:
“I was looking for the right challenge and that’s why I chose Zambia. I came here for the challenge and I hope when I leave this team I will look around and say Zambia played. how good as well as creating a good foundation for the future.”
“I think Zambia has potential, we have set goals for what we want to achieve.”

Grant officially led Zambia when he just signed a two-year contract.
Grant led Chelsea 54 games from September 2007 to May 2008. He came very close to winning the 2007/08 Champions League when the Blues only suffered a penalty shoot-out defeat to Manchester United in the final. .
Grant then had a brief spell at Portsmouth and West Ham. Since leaving English football in 2011, the manager has held power in Partizan Belgrade, Ghana and North East United.
