In his latest share, Rio Ferdinand revealed the striker he finds most difficult to face. Facing the choice of Karim Benzema, Luis Suarez or Robert Lewandowski, Ferdinand said the former Real Madrid star was the opponent he feared the most.
Specifically, Ferdinand expressed on FIVE:
“I will favor Benzema at his peak. Suarez used to be terrible, but don’t get me wrong. I’ve played against both of them and personally I find Benzema to be a tougher opponent.”

Ferdinand thinks Benzema is the most difficult striker to face.
When asked how to contain Suarez, Ferdinand replied:
“Suarez was at Liverpool and I played for Man Utd. I remember we were playing at Anfield and Sir Alex Ferguson used to give good advice. He said ‘Suarez is such a good player that he waits for a defender to move. and then react to the opponent’s actions. So don’t go and try to tackle him as soon as possible. Let him decide first, that’s better’.”
“That’s what I did. I faced Suarez a couple of times in the corner of the box. I just delayed and slowed him down.”
