Valverde was asked to name the best and worst players at rival club Barcelona in an interview with The Residency. The 25-year-old star appeared confused by the question and did her best to avoid appearing awkward.
However, regaining his composure in a flash, Valverde revealed his favorite player at Barcelona, naming compatriot Ronald Araujo.

Valverde said he liked Araujo very much, saying: “I was fascinated by Ronald, I always said I loved him. Plus, he’s from Uruguay and he’s a good friend of mine.”
Valverde has faced Araujo 7 times so far, winning 3 and losing 4 times. Last season Real Madrid was left behind by Barcelona in the La Liga race. This season, Barca is temporarily lagging behind after winning 7 points after the first 3 matches of the season. Real is the only team to win all 3 matches so far and is currently holding the top spot in the table.
