Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has hailed the impact Fred has made coming off the bench for the Reds in recent matches, calling him an example in the team.
The Brazilian midfielder has come on from the bench in the last 4 matches and has scored against Nottingham Forest.
Fred has only started 4 times in the Premier League this season and 7 times in all competitions, he still has a total of 14 appearances in the top league. Ten Hag has stated that he always wants to use the 5 allowed substitutions to his team’s advantage.

Ten Hag appreciates Fred’s impact.
“We’ve emphasized so many times that we usually have players score goals when they come on off the bench, like Fred did last week. Every time he comes on, he’s always ready. It’s true. Great to have a player like that as a manager.”
“Of course, Fred wants to play every game. That’s not always possible and everyone has to fight for their place, but again, we need players who come in from the ice. bench and make an impact. Sure, Fred is that kind of guy – There are others too, but Fred is an example.”
