“William (Saliba) still hasn’t had much playing time despite performing very well at club level. With the national team, he has not always been in good form in past matches,” the 55-year-old strategist shared.
William Saliba is playing extremely well at Arsenal.
“He doesn’t have the same competitive mentality as when he plays for the club, where he doesn’t have to worry about whether he can play or not. When he plays for us, he needs to tell himself that he has to play the best he can because there are other players waiting for the opportunity to play.”
However, with France officially winning tickets to attend EURO 2024 and Ibrahim Konate’s injury, it is likely that William Saliba will be given a chance at this gathering.
