Erling Haaland’s five goals against RB Leipzig brought his total to 39 this season. The Norwegian striker immediately shared a photo of himself sleeping next to his ball after the devastating victory.
There are many reasons that decipher the ex-Salzburg star’s boom. Rest mode is just an addition that makes a formidable killer of European football at the moment. According to The Mail, Haaland is obsessed with how to improve his sleep, which he considers the most important thing in his life.
But to find the perfect sleep, the Manchester City rookie needs some supporting products. These include blue and orange light glasses. can be seen in his photo from earlier this week. Haaland often wears them a few hours before going to bed.
In addition, Haaland also goes to bed from 10pm to 10:30pm and turns off all electrical devices at the same time before putting his back to bed. The player born in 2000 also uses an Oura ring, a device that measures sleep quality, temperature trends, stress levels and heart rate. The former Borussia Dortmund player scored impressive points using the device because it’s what former Manchester United player Gary Neville has been wearing for health reasons since the Euros.
Funny enough, Haaland also turned on the Champions League theme music as a morning alarm. He has repeatedly talked about what winning the Champions League means to him, which is evident in his record of scoring 33 goals in 25 games.
Haaland is also understood to be meticulous in perfecting the body. Norwegian coach Stale Solbakken recently shared:
“Haaland’s body is still improving, he’s still growing. If you look at Haaland now and 12 months ago, you can see a small difference. He takes this very seriously.”
The Norwegian striker has grown enormously since his younger days in Molde. He became a striker possessing great height, toned physique to overcome defenders.
His diet has also helped him become the dangerous cannon he is today. Haaland can consume up to 6,000 calories a day, Norwegian teammate Josh King said: “I’ve never seen anyone eat as much as Haaland. He eats like a bear.”
This may be because Haaland grew up in the farming town of Bryne, which values a high-protein diet. Unique items on the menu include mineral-rich offal as well as heart and liver.
Talking about what he has eaten, Haaland said: “Eating the best possible local food is the most important thing. People say meat is not good for you but what is it? Meat you buy at McDonald’s or does the local cow graze right there”?
The Man City star balances his diet by absorbing more carbohydrates when using his father’s lasagne. Haaland is also a fish lover and considers it an important source of protein.
Sleep and nutrition measures are clearly helping Haaland reach the top. Haaland has not shown any signs of stopping and promises to continue to develop after shooting 215 times in club and national team colors.
