Speaking after the Champions League win against Sevilla in the middle of last week, Declan Rice admitted that he really did not want to face Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli because these two players are too good in 1-on-1 situations.
The Brazilian star shared:
“I thought, tonight’s game was great for them. I thought, they were scary in 1v1 situations, and to be honest, I wouldn’t want to confront them! Both are lightning fast.”
Rice is “afraid” to confront Saka and Martinelli.
“We played really well, full of energy from the start. We didn’t let them breathe, I think, they had only one chance the whole game. It was just a really impressive performance.” completely impressive, especially when they sit so deep with a back five, a defensive line like this is always difficult to break down.
