This summer, Sergio Reguilon joined Man Utd on loan from Tottenham Hotspur until June 2024. The 26-year-old has played 230 games for clubs including Real Madrid, Sevilla, Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid, and has six caps for Spain.
According to British media, Man Utd does not pay a fee to borrow Reguilon but must pay the entire salary. The Red Devils are also allowed to return the former Real star to Spurs in January 2023.
Notably, Man Utd turned to borrow Reguilon after the Marc Cucurella deal collapsed. With Reguilon, Man Utd missed out on buying this defender in 2020.

According to Reguilon, goalkeeper De Gea always said great things about Man Utd.
Most recently, Reguilon shared: “I talked a lot with David and he told me about the club. He told me you were going to the best club in England.
All players like De Gea are legends in Spain, because I watch a lot of games in the Premier League.”
Reguilon added: “De Gea will always be a legend here and he told me about the club, the people here, the training ground, the stadium, the fans… everything.
He said they were amazing, unbelievable. He just has great words for Manchester United.”
