Arsenal’s impressive winning streak was halted after a 0-0 draw with Newcastle United. The Gunners’ attack was deadlocked in approaching the goal of Shooting and breaking through the opponent’s solid defense system.
Many experts said that Arsenal had revealed a limited point in terms of personnel in the match against Newcastle. The options on the bench are not level enough to help Mikel Arteta’s army turn the situation around.
Arteta made only one change when he brought in Takehiro Tomiyasu to replace Ben White in the second half. Arsenal’s attacking stars were powerless to score despite increasing pressure late in the game.

Sharing on talkSport, former midfielder Danny Murphy said that Arsenal was wrong to part with Nicolas Pepe last summer. “I’m surprised by Arteta’s decision. You can disagree with my opinion. I’m surprised Arsenal let Nicolas Pepe go. He’s quick, clever and can bring home goals,” commented Murphy.
In the summer of 2022, Pepe joined Nice on loan from Arsenal. The contract is for one season. After 112 matches in the Gunners shirt, Pepe contributed 27 goals, 21 assists.
