Fabrizio Romano said that coach Roberto De Zerbi is one of the top targets that Tottenham Hotspur has targeted for his new captaincy. However, Romano added, De Zerbi has absolutely no plans to leave Brighton at this time.
The Italian journalist said:
“Roberto de Zerbi, is once again linked with a job at Tottenham as one of the top names on the target list. But, he has no plans to leave Brighton this summer; De Zerbi is 100% focused on the project in Brighton.”
De Zerbi will not go to Tottenham.
“Postecoglou remains on Spurs’ list.”
Obviously, with Brighton on the rise and already guaranteed a place in next season’s European Cup, De Zerbi has absolutely no reason to leave next summer. Moreover, Spurs are currently a mess and Tottenham’s hot seat will bring many risks to any captain.
