After spending up to £600 million in the last two transfer windows, the Chelsea board has begun to push away those who are no longer in the club’s plans. They have bid farewell to veterans like N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovačić or César Azpilicueta. In the near future, Christian Pulisic could be the next person to leave Stamford Bridge.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Pulisic was very close to AC Milan. On his personal Twitter, Romano wrote: “AC Milan and Chelsea are currently in direct contact to close the Christian Pulisic deal with a permanent purchase.”
“Agreement is closer than ever and imminent, now negotiating the final steps of the contract,” Romano added.
Pulisic joined Chelsea in the summer of 2019 from Dortmund for a transfer fee of £ 58 million. He is a player highly appreciated by experts and highly expected by Chelsea coaches. Unfortunately, Pulisic got injured and his performance on the pitch has dropped since then.
Last season, he played only 814 minutes in the Premier League and had 1 goal and 1 assist.
