This is extremely surprising information, especially for Manchester Red Devils fans, because before that, Cody Gakpo was the No. 1 candidate to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.
Coach Ten Hag is very close to the 23-year-old Dutch striker and once intended to bring Gakpo to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window.

The British media confirmed that Liverpool paid the Dutch team £ 37 million in advance. The amount of the surcharge could increase to £ 50 million based on Gakpo’s performance as well as the number of appearances in the future.
This weekend, Cody Gakpo will take a flight to Liverpool for a medical check-up and is expected to sign a five-and-a-half-year contract with The Kop.

The 23-year-old striker will immediately go to England to undergo a medical examination before completing the contract. This is PSV’s record-breaking transfer.”
The reason why coach Jurgen Klopp “closes” Cody Gakpo quickly is because he is concerned about the injury status of factors such as Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino.
The German leader also liked the versatility in Gakpo. The 23-year-old goalscorer has a knack for kicking left, but when needed, he can play the highest in attack.
