Levi Colwill made 17 Premier League appearances for Brighton last season, becoming an integral member of the team after Roberto De Zerbi replaced Graham Potter as head coach. Colwill continued his fine form at the Euro Under-21 Championship, helping England U21 reach the final for the first time since 2009.
It is not surprising that big clubs like Liverpool want to recruit talents born in 2003. According to Football London, coach Jurgen Klopp is a huge admirer of Colwill. The fact that the English midfielder is young, left-footed and experienced in the Premier League making this morning star an attractive target for Klopp.
The Kop has more convincing reasons for Colwill when the 20-year-old idol idolizes Steven Gerrard. As a child, Colwill also wore a Liverpool shirt, something former manager Lee Hudson shared last August after he made his Premier League debut in Brighton’s 2-1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
In addition, Liverpool star Harvey Elliott is known to be a friend of Colwill and once left a comment in the midfielder’s post in 2003.
Currently, Mauricio Pochettino wants Colwill to stay at Stamford Bridge. They once turned down an offer of £ 30 million that Brighton had for their player.
