Chelsea and Manchester City have reached a £45m deal for Cole Palmer. Media share the London club made an initial offer of £35m but the deal was rejected by the Premier League champions before the Blues closed a second fee.
Chelsea is very confident to complete the deal with the England U21 international before the deadline of 23pm on Friday. After Palmer was given his Premier League debut in 2021, Gary Neville was amazed by the midfielder’s incredible abilities and referred to him as a ‘David Silva clone’.
Accordingly, the former Manchester United player commented, citing Football London:
“Man City is not like an academy but like a system of cloning players. All the same, like a copy. He’s almost like David Silva“.
