Takefusa Kubo did not have the career path he expected at Real Madrid. The Japanese international was loaned out four times before officially joining Real Sociedad in the summer of 2022.
Here, Kubo developed strongly and became one of the best wingers in La Liga. This season, he is currently ranked only behind Antoine Griezmann and Jude Bellingham in the top scorer race.

Kubo is shining in La Liga.
The impressive performance helped Kubo catch the eye of many big teams. Recently, there have been some rumors that Arsenal as well as Man Utd are considering the possibility of recruiting the 22-year-old star.
Besides, Defensa Central newspaper said that Real also wants to reunite Kubo.
When selling the Japanese player to Sociedad, they included a 50% buyback clause. It is known that the fee to break Kubo’s contract is about 60 million euros, so Real only needs to spend 30 million to bring the 22-year-old player back to the Bernabeu.
Defensa Central revealed that Real wants to do business in this deal. They will buy back Kubo and then sell it to Man Utd for 70 million euros.
