Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma lost 0-2 to Slavia Prague in the 4th match of Group G Europa League. Two goals from Vaclav Jurecka and Lukas Masopust helped Slavia Prague shock the Italian team.
Roma’s attack had a poor day. Romelu Lukaku and Andrea Belotti were completely silent when facing Slavia Prague’s defense system. The statistics favored Roma, but Jose Mourinho’s army could not find the net.
Sharing with Sky Sport Italia after the match, striker Andrea Belotti said: “Today, AS Roma players lacked the necessary determination. We should have done better in situations with and without the ball.”
“AS Roma did very little in the first half. Slavia was superior in every phase. This is clearly a big problem. I don’t think the cause came from fatigue or decreased physical strength. Roma entered the game. with the wrong attitude. That was shown with what happened on the field.”
After 4 matches, Roma ranked 2nd in Group G, behind Slavia Prague due to losing on goal difference. In the next match, Jose Mourinho and his team will face Lazio in Serie A.
