Fate brought Bayern Munich to meet Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Bayern will face an assassin Erling Haaland, who has scored 42 goals in 37 appearances this season.
Haaland will be no stranger to the Bavarians, having faced them several times during his days at Borussia Dortmund, and was expected to score a goal against Bayern. However, as Munich fans may fear the impact Haaland will have, German football legend Lothar Matthaus has reassured him.
Speaking to Sky Germany, Matthaus expressed:
“Haaland often plays against Bayern and scores few goals. Bayern need not be afraid of Haaland“.

Haaland is about to reunite with Bayern in the Champions League.
The Norwegian forward has faced Bayern Munich seven times and scored five goals in those matches. However, statistics show that Haaland has never won a match against the Bundesliga champions.
Things may be different for the former Salzburg star because Man City is no less than Bayern. Haaland will be more confident in the context of the star born in 2000 scoring 5 goals against Leipzig in the middle of last week.
