Barcelona has faced major difficulties in the past few transfer windows and must find ways to resolve Financial Fairness issues.
The situation is no different this season when the Catalan team could not sign a new midfielder despite wanting to strengthen this position.
Things won’t be much different when the summer transfer window kicks off in a few months. Accordingly, SPORT reported that Barcelona is expected to sell an important player in the summer so they can add new faces.
Sports director Deco is preparing for a summer overhaul, with hoping to earn 200 million euros from selling players.
Some players currently on loan, such as Eric Garcia, Sergino Dest and even Ansu Fati, could be sold permanently to bring in revenue.
Meanwhile, at least one important player in the current squad may also have to leave if Deco seriously aims to achieve that number through a transfer.
Ronald Araujo has attracted interest from Bayern Munich and Man United, but he is considered “untouchable”, along with Pedri and Gavi. Therefore, Andreas Christensen or Jules Kounde may have to be sacrificed.
There has also been talk about Robert Lewandowski’s future, although Barcelona have no intention of forcing him to leave the club and any decision will depend entirely on the player.
