Barcelona is planning for the long-term future when Robert Lewandowski is 35 years old this year. Sources from Daily Mail confirmed Blaugrana wants to recruit Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak.
Coach Xavi Hernandez is a fan of Isak and the Swedish star has become a top target as Barca look to strengthen their personnel options for the front line.
Signing Isak will not be an easy task because the player just arrived at Newcastle for a record fee of £63 million last summer. He scored 12 goals in 31 matches but had to compete with Callum Wilson for a starting spot.

Isak’s contract is valid until 2028 and it is unlikely that Barca will make serious moves in the 2024 summer market. With many years left with the former Real Sociedad striker, Newcastle can afford to bid Barca.
