Discussing the impact that coach Pep Guardiola brought to Barcelona in the past, Marc Cucurella shared:
“Pep has changed the mentality at Barcelona. Before Pep’s time, Barcelona was a good team, but after he arrived, they changed their philosophy and played great football – I think, one of the best teams in the history of football. They played football at a different level.”
Cucurella has been with La Masia for a long time.
“The philosophy at the Barcelona academy has also changed, because all levels play with the same style, the same mentality and I think this is very good. We can see them doing the same thing at Manchester City.”
“Every year, they change something to keep improving. I don’t have a certain relationship with Pep, but I have met him at some events and been able to chat a little with him . Pep is a very good person.”
