Folarin Balogun scored his 18th goal in 29 appearances for Reims this season. It can be said that the 21-year-old star is one of the best strikers in Europe in the current period.
However, that does not guarantee that the English striker will be used by Arsenal once his loan spell at Reims ends and returns to the Emirates Stadium. With Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah, Balogun is said to be just a backup plan in case Arsenal play football next season.
According to The Athletic, this raises a nagging question mark over Balogun’s future at Arsenal, as This young player does not want to continue to “study abroad” for the 3rd time in a row in the context of only 2 years remaining on his contract with the host club.. This means that Balogun expects to contribute to Arsenal, but the Gunners still prioritize Jesus and Nketiah over the striker born in 2001.
Clubs such as AC Milan, Marseille, RB Leipzig, Monaco and Inter Milan are all watching the player from the fog if Arsenal decide to let the “chicken” go. It remains to be seen how the Gunners Board will include Balogun in their plans for next season in a way that will satisfy both sides.
