The Gunners have been interested in Rashford since two years ago. Football Insider revealed that they are willing to spend £45 million to sign the Three Lions star in the summer of 2022.
Now, Arsenal could rekindle interest in Rashford following fresh doubts over his future at Old Trafford. However, Erik ten Hag’s team will ask for a much higher fee than the £45 million that Arsenal plans to spend.
The 26-year-old was just fined two weeks’ wages after attending a party in Belfast before taking sick leave to train at Carrington. Rashford missed training and the Red Devils’ FA Cup win over Newport County on Sunday, but will be available for the match against Wolves tomorrow morning (Vietnam time).
Arsenal are keen to sign a new striker with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah failing to meet expectations as goalscorers, but they may now have to wait until the summer.
Rashford has scored 4 goals and provided 6 assists in 26 appearances this season. He can play as a central striker, left or right winger.
