Tim Akinola traveled to Qatar last week for talks, before conducting a medical with the new club. Accordingly, it is only a matter of time before he signs a lucrative 3-year contract at Al Bidda SC.

Akinola is 22 years old this year, used to be likened to Kante 2.0. The Nigerian player stands out as a scanner in the midfield with the ability to press, intercept, and tackle. The midfielder made 31 appearances for Chesterfield last season and he is very popular with the fans there. However, Chesterfield’s inability to get promoted is the reason why they can’t buy Akinola outright. Meanwhile, his current Gunners first team opportunity is too meager.
