The Gunners are ready to say goodbye to midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga. The Belgian joined Luton Town on loan in September after failing to break into Mikel Arteta’s first team.
Football Insider sources say that Lokonga “has no future” at Arsenal after his time with Luton and that the North London team is ready to listen to offers from partners.
The Belgian midfielder has made 39 appearances for Arsenal since arriving in England in 2021 but he has never built trust with Arteta. He was loaned to Crystal Palace and Luton to gain experience but Arsenal is losing patience with the Belgian midfielder. During the past half of the season, he did not play well at Luton. The midfielder has only appeared 10 times in all competitions this season, with six consecutive appearances throughout December and January.
Arsenal spent nearly 20 million pounds to sign Lokonga and they will accept to cut losses to part with this player next summer.
