Arsenal is still looking to strengthen the squad in all three lines. For defense, they are ready to enter the race for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
Guehi was competed for by Arsenal, Chelsea, and MU.
Guehi has developed into one of the most talented centre-backs in the Premier League. He is also currently a reliable player for the Three Lions. The 23-year-old will of course be participating in EURO 2024 and can make a giant leap forward. Guehi has his best years ahead of him and will want to play at a bigger club as soon as possible.
According to Alan Nixon, Arsenal is ready to compete with Chelsea and Man United for a player valued at 60 million pounds. Palace is comfortable about the current situation, but for the future, they know they could lose one of the club’s top talents.
At the Emirates, Gabriel and Saliba are Mikel Arteta’s favorite centre-back pairing. But for long term planning, having Guehi play with Saliba is an interesting idea. Not only that, but signing Guehi could allow the Gunners to switch to a solid three-at-the-back formation if needed.
