Discussing the contract extension between Arsenal and Martin Odegaard, journalist Ben Jacobs said:
“Martin Odegaard is expected to sign a new contract with Arsenal. An agreement in principle is not far away. Negotiations are progressing, and the Arsenal captain could extend it until 2027.”
“Arsenal are very optimistic, they know Odegaard wants to stay. And after renewing a series of players last season, the 24-year-old midfielder is now next in line.”

It is almost certain that Odegaard will renew with Arsenal.
“Like the extension with Bukayo Saka, which took a long time but the deal was never really in doubt, Odegaard is now considered ‘untouchable’. But, there will still be some issues that need to be resolved.”
“Odegaard is earning around £115,000 a week and will seek to double this numberwhich is also completely worth it.”
“Now that the international break is over, I expect negotiations to move relatively quickly. With Saka, an agreement in principle was reached in the second half of last season, but it still took several months to sign and officially announce.”
