Talking to Football Insider, when asked if Emile Smith Rowe has the ability to fill the void left by Granit Xhaka, former striker Gabriel Agbonlahor commented:
“There is a possibility, but I think it is a very difficult situation for Arsenal.”
“If they want to buy someone like Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo, they won’t be able to pay a large sum of money without selling players.”

Smith Rowe is no longer used by Arsenal.
“I think Arteta has an important decision with Smith Rowe, keep and let Smith Rowe play or sell him. Arsenal can’t have a player worth £30-50m like Smith Rowe and keep him on the bench.”
“If they keep Smith Rowe, they don’t need to sign another player in that position, but if they don’t want to use Smith Rowe they have to sell him. There are a lot of Premier League clubs willing to pay £30/40m for Smith Rowe.”
With Xhaka, the Swiss star is on the way to Bayer Leverkusen for a fee of about 15 million euros.
