It’s no surprise that Declan Rice is clearly Arsenal’s top target. Behind the England international are Kai Havertz and Romeo Lavia.
Ilkay Gundogan is another name that is also in the Gunners’ sights. However, on GiveMeSport, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said Arsenal will have to compete fiercely with teams in Saudi Arabia.
Romano said: “Certainly they (Arsenal) are interested in Gundogan. They have had some talks, but Gundogan’s situation is complicated.”
“Manchester City have made a new offer for a one-season extension, plus the option of a further one-year extension. Barcelona have offered a three-year contract with Gundogan and Saudi Arabia’s clubs are trying to convince players with crazy things. So it was a very unpredictable race and not easy at all,” concluded Romano.
Gundogan is the latest player targeted by teams in Saudi Arabia. Previously, N’Golo Kante was about to leave Chelsea to join Al Ittihad, the team that Karim Benzema had previously joined, with a salary of up to 200 million euros per season.
