Martin Odegaard spoke about his contract situation earlier in the week, but did not reveal too many details at the time.
The Norwegian international said: “I don’t have much to say, other than I’m very happy at Arsenal and I hope I can stay there for a long time.”
Journalist Fabrizio Romano recently reported that Odegaard is very happy with Arsenal and is likely to extend his contract with the club, with the Gunners now planning to step up negotiations.
Journalist Charles Watts told TEAMtalk earlier this summer that Ben White and Odegaard would be the next two players to have their contracts extended.
To date, journalist Andrew Allen shared with Arseblog News that a deal with Odegaard is basically complete. His contract will be announced next week or sooner. This time, Arsenal signed Odegaard until 2027 and has the option to extend for another year.
Odegaard is Arsenal’s conductor and one of the top scorers for the Gunners in the Premier League last season (15 goals).
