The Telegraph reports that Argentina U20 coach Javier Mascherano will be in England on Monday to negotiate MU for Garnacho on national duty.
Garnacho is about to return from injury, Erik ten Hag and MU do not want to ‘release’ people.
“MU do not want to release Garnacho, who is coming back from injury, because they do not want to lose the 18-year-old player.
If he plays for Argentina U20, Garnacho will miss at least the last 2 matches of MU in the Premier League and the FA Cup final on June 3 if MU overcomes Brighton this Sunday.
Mascherano will travel to Manchester on Monday, and is expected to have discussions with MU in an attempt to get Garnacho back to play for Argentina Under-20s.”
According to Peoples Person, Garnacho was named in the preliminary squad of Argentina U20, but MU did not want to release people.
Garnacho thrived under Erik ten Hag.
The 18-year-old young star is currently recovering from an injury, with news that Garnacho could return to play for the Red Devils in 10 days.
In addition to wanting to monitor Garnacho’s recovery, coach Erik ten Hag wants the player in the MU squad for the rest of the season.
MU has now been eliminated from the Europa League, disillusioned with the treble but still fighting intensely for the top 4 race in the Premier League and the FA Cup (semi-final against Brighton at 22:30 on April 23).
In the context of MU having a crisis of force because of injury, Garnacho’s return is a great encouragement for Erik ten Hag and the whole team.
However, Argentina U20 also desperately needs Garnacho, in the tournament taking place at home, after Indonesia was disqualified from hosting. Initially, Argentina U20 did not win a ticket to this year’s U20 World Cup, but now as the host, it automatically takes a seat.
