In view of Clinton Morrison, coach Erik Ten Hag showed his management skills through the penalty for Marcus Rashford, and the striker himself handled the situation well. Talking to Sky Sports, the English football expert shared (quoted by Metro):
“Rashford is an outstanding player for Manchester United, one of their top players this season.”
Rashford continues to shine.
“And if Erik ten Hag did it to Rashford (taken out of the squad because he fell asleep), he would do the same to anyone else.”
“Anyone can oversleep, that was an honest mistake, my alarm almost didn’t go off today! Sky Sports could have fined me and kicked me out!”
“Things like that can happen. Rashford could have sat there and sulk, but no, he thought, ‘I’ll go ahead and make a difference.'”
