Al-Ittihad wants Paolo Maldini to hold the position of sports director of the team.
During his time as technical director at San Siro, Paolo Maldini was credited with creating a vital link between the first team and the club’s management. He is also known for his role in inspiring and educating players about the importance of contributing to AC Milan.
Paolo Maldini will reunite with many “acquaintances” if he takes the job at Al-Ittihad. The Arab team currently owns once prestigious stars such as Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Fabinho or Luiz Felipe. Not to mention many other prominent names fighting in this country.

Paolo Maldini may move to Saudi Arabia in the future.
Al-Ittihad’s immediate priority is to find a new coach, after Nuno Santo left. The team’s recent poor performance caused the strategist who led Wolverhampton and Tottenham Hotspur to be fired.
