According to the former England star, the star of Aston Villa, Emiliano Martinez is the best goalkeeper in the world. Martinez helped his country Argentina win the World Cup in Qatar early last week. He kept three clean sheets in the process.
Agbonlahor believes no one can be better than the 30-year-old Argentinian, who also made a series of saves in the final to help the South American team lift the world cup for the third time.
Martinez played brilliantly for Argentina in the knockout stages.
Asked on Amazon Prime if Agbonlahor thinks Martinez is one of the best goalkeepers in England’s top flight, the former Premier League striker said:I think he’s the best goalkeeper in the world.”
“I mean, some of the saves he made during the tournament. He’ll come back as the best goalkeeper in the world.”
Martinez has come a long way from being a longtime substitute at Arsenal to a hero who helped Argentina win the world championship.
