Cedric Soares was supposed to leave Arsenal in the summer of 2023, but the move did not materialize before the English transfer window closed on September 1. Either way, the Gunners could still sell Soares to other clubs after this point.

Cedric Soares will most likely be sold to Portugal.
Football.London reported Cedric has received interest from FC Porto, Benfica and Sporting CP in Portugal, where the transfer market is only closed until September 22. The same source says Nicolas Pepe is also attracting interest from many clubs and is about to move to Besiktas.
Cedric spent last season on loan with Fulham. He is clearly not capable of competing for the starting position at Arsenal at the moment. Ben White is Arsenal’s number one right-back, with Takehiro Tomiyasu in reserve. Thomas Partey also recently played in the position and Mikel Arteta also welcomed rookie Jurrien Timber in the summer. Not to mention Reuell Walters, the young talent who is making an impression with the U21 team and is regularly called up to the Arsenal first team.
If Cedric wants to play regularly this season, his best option is probably to return to Portugal.
