Everton have hired one of the UK’s leading lawyers, Laurence Rabinowitz KC, to lead the legal team at the three-day hearing, which is expected to end on Friday.
The Goodison Park team admitted the violation but said they were shocked and disappointed by the severity of the penalty in November, the largest sports penalty in Premier League history.
