AC Milan faced arch-enemy Inter Milan in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final. Things quickly fell apart for Milan when goals from Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan arrived in the first 12 minutes. Rafael Leao could not do anything and found it hard to believe what was happening on the field.
The young winger was forced to miss the match this morning after suffering a muscle injury in the win over Lazio at the weekend. Outside the border, The Portuguese star covered his face when Milan played below the muscle compared to the neighbor. Leao’s reaction showed how disappointed he was at the score difference.
Leao is frustrated outside the touchline.
In fact, the Rossoneri may lose more heavily because Inter have missed some delicious opportunities. Now, the red and black half of Milan must do everything to come back next week with Leao likely to return.
Milan has also been boosted by significant progress in retaining the 1999-born player. Manchester United and Chelsea are just two of the parties that are monitoring Leao’s contract situation at Milan. The San Siro Stadium team confidently shouted 100 million euros for the former Lille star.
